Our Story

EcoGuard was founded in 2018 by Marcus and Elena Vargas after a frustrating experience with a national pest control chain that left chemical odors throughout their Midland home — with two young kids and a dog inside.

"We kept asking if the products were safe for our kids and our dog, and we got vague answers," Marcus says. "That's when we realized there had to be a better way."

Marcus brought 12 years of pest control field experience. Elena brought a background in environmental science and a GreenPro certification. Together, they built EcoGuard around a single promise: every product we apply, we'd be comfortable using in our own home.

Today EcoGuard serves over 800 families across the Permian Basin, and we still pick up every call ourselves.
